The P3ESR's exceptional all-round performance flows from the perfect integration of the cabinet, drivers and crossover. Harbeth's world exclusive RADIAL2™ cone technology has been lifted from the larger Harbeths and is now at the heart of this new-generation P3ESR. Designed and made by Harbeth UK, the new RADIAL2™ equipped 110mm (5") bass/midrange driver (a first for Harbeth) offers the hallmark clarity and naturalness of the larger Harbeths. Breathtaking transparency, real bass and fantastic holographic imaging endow the P3ESR with grand, captivating, transparent sound presented in a conveniently small and beautiful cabinet. A new variant of the P3 family's well proven 19mm tweeter perfectly compliments the wholly new woofer and its open-weave protection keeps little fingers away but lets the fine musical details flow through.
Not only is the P3ESR capable of being used in a wide range of listening environments but it is optimised to get the best from any amplifier, even smaller ones because the electrical load is so amplifier-friendly. Designed for 'free-field' use, the optimal bass-mid-top balance is achieved when the speakers are away from walls and on suitable stands at about tweeter-ear height. Internally, the multi-function crossover divides the sonic spectrum between the drive units perfectly aligning the acoustic output into a seamless whole, exactly as you would hear standing at the microphone.
